Pathways to Parks

The Proposal: Connect neighborhoods adjacent to Louisville’s parks via on- and off-street paths.

The Vision: Louisville’s parks, anchored by the Olmsted Park System, have been an invaluable piece of community infrastructure for more than a century. Enhance them by building connective paths that allow residents to safely and easily access these green spaces.

Proof of Concept: The neighborhoods around Cherokee Park (Douglass, Bonnycastle, Cherokee Triangle) offer a number of opportunities to build paths that connect into one of the city’s signature Olmsted Parks.
